Two Japanese hand painted eggcups in lovely condition, a pre-war set, both back stamped "Japan" in capital letters, one in red the other in black. Both are made from lightweight porcelain, are hand painted & both are in practically perfect condition.

The blue has two glaze misses around the rim & a small scuff on one side, the floral cup is perfect. Note the pretty mauve inner glaze to the floral eggcup. The blue cup is translucent when held to the light. Passing these along now to another collector from my Japanese collection of ceramics.
