Lovely Art Deco pair, came from my 1958 built, Art Deco style house so I would say that they are 50 years old. Thick plaster reinforced with fibre (coconut?) and painted in a faux patina to resemble metal. The paint has sealed the surface against damage and kept them in excellent condition Minor installation marks and cement on top/bottom face but not visible once installed. A chip or two but easy to restore to perfection. Not structural or heavy load bearing as they are hollow inside and completely made of plaster as far as I can tell. Insert a steel pipe inside if you want to hold some weight. First photo shows the original installation in situ and they were not holding up the weight of the archway lintel. Dimensions in millimetres: Height 1560, Diameter of centre part 160, Bases 260 square and 255 square
