Art Deco writing stand - this was a gift to a chap named Kevin from his mum and dad for a significant birthday. It is a beautiful dark wood, with stained glass doors. There is a little wear and tear - such as one of the doors is off at the hinges and the glass is broken in segments. It is in fairly tired condition, but would not take much to restore it to its original glory.
The front opens out and the writer can lean on the door to pen their letters. The original ink stains can still be seen.
The key does fit the lock.
Measurements are as: 122cm wide, 30cm deep and 116cm high. The writing panel sits at a height of 76cm.
