This auction is for an original art deco James Kent, Fenton Jug. It is in top condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. The only flaws are some orange staining at 2 of the 4 feet at its base and a mark on the inside of its lip at the spout; I am not sure what caused them but it looks more like manufacture flaws to me. It could also be ageing due to its vintage but still does not detract from the beauty of the jug. There is no loss to the colour of the pattern which is a very popular art deco style; I guess from the 30's or 40's.

The jug stands just over 13 cm tall. It is 18 cm from handle to spout and the base is just under 10 cm across on the diagonal; 8 cm by 8 cm square. The gilding around the edges are faded in some place and not there on 1 side of the handle, if your hold the jug in your left hand, I have a feeling that it was not there in the first place as the gilding paint looks as if it ended just on the edge.
