This is a beautiful brass Verdelite lamp, circa 1915. We have two of these lamps for sale in separate auctions. This lamp would originally have been a bankers lamp with a green glass shade - a previous owner converted it. It is now a standard desk lamp with capiz shell shades. The shade was custom-made for this lamp - it is not original.

This striking lamp stands 24 3/4 to the top of the harp, and 17 1/2 inches to the top of the base. The fancy stamped brass base is 7 inches square. The four-sided shaft is 1 5/8 inches wide at its widest point (the bottom) and 1 1/4 inch wide at the top of the lamp. The hammered-look finish is very handsome on this lovely antique. It was manufactured with a copper overlay, some of which is still evident.

The lamp works perfectly, and is in excellent antique condition. It is not new, however, so there may be some small dings or surface scratches.
