This herb is renowned for its tonic and rejuvenative effects on the female organs and its name also alludes to its reputation as a female aphrodisiac. Asparagus is beneficial for female wellbeing for all ages, from puberty to menopause and thereafter. Traditionally it has been used to assist painful and heavy menstruation. Asparagus` galactagogue properties may also assist in the production of breast milk in nursing mothers.

Therapeutic Use
Asparagus, referred to as Shatavari in traditional Ayurvedic Medicine has a balancing, nourishing and toning effect on the female reproductive system by helping to maintain menstrual wellness and assist sexual debility.
