About this title: The colour plates in this book illustrate twelve of the most important aeroplanes engaged in the Atlantic conquest.  They are all drawn to a common scale; one sixth of an inch to the foot. Thus, at a glance, the size of one can be gauged in relation to the other.

All the aeroplanes are depicted, for the first time, in their authentic colours; wherever possible from sketches and notes made from life in museums, by the author.
