This remarkable piece of Aboriginal culture comes from the Dharug Tribe of NSW.
It has been naturally hollowed by termites and hand-crafted from native Australian eucalyptus.
About the Dharug:
The Dharug Tribe are the indigenous people of the southeast region of Australia. Their traditional homeland is the region from the Hawkesbury River in the north to Appin, the Cowpastures and George's River in the south, and west into the Blue Mountains as far as the territory of the Wiradjuri near Bathurst. The Hawkesbury River appears to have marked the boundary between the Darug and their neighbours to the northwest, the Darkinung.
In modern times, the Dharug tribe still produces recreations f their Aboriginal artefacts, including didgeridoos, boomerangs, clapsticks, bullroarers and the like. With a unique style of carving and burning, the Dharug tribe's work has become sought after all over the world.

It's a very excellent-sounding didge with extremely good back pressure, in the popular key of G.
