For auction is this lovely Beswick pottery basket. It is glazed with a mottled glaze in soft pale hues of mauve,green,pink and a soft orangy tan. It is really lovely and would make an attractive addition to a collection of Beswick pieces.

It has a tiny 2mm chip on the side of the handle(see photo ) and a tiny raised spot on the bottom/inside of bowl  but is otherwise in really good condition with no crazing.

The glaze feels like satin to touch.

It is marked Beswick Made in England 623 all impressed and then again Beswick Ware Made in England in blue writing. This mark was used from 1936-

It will be well packed in bubble wrap,polystyrene beads and box lining for safe  travel.

The photos are a good representation of the colour.

Approximate measurements are 12cm high with handle, bowl is oval and measures 16cm x 14cm at the widest part.
