VERY UNIQUE PROTOTYPE

Made circa 1940

'GIRL ON JUMPING HORSE'

Designed by Arthur Gredington 

Model Number 939

Height 9.75"   24.7cm

NO RESERVE

This is a unique opportuntiy to own a 'one off' piece of Beswick

It is an early test piece part painted but shows great detail both on the girl and horse. It has been confirmed as an authentic piece by both a professional collector and auction house. The girl has a hairline firing crack on her head and a tiny glaze flaw from production (see photos) but has no other damage, chips, crazing or restoration. Under the base there is a number '2' scratched into the porcelain by the sculptor, possibly meaning the 2nd trial piece??

Certainly a must have for a Beswick collector and can only increase in value in the future
