"Before all the fame, glamour and spotlights......Before they were STARS"

ITEM:  Vintage 1931, 7.5" x 9.6" Publicity Portrait of a 15 year old Betty Grable in one of the earliest closeup shots I have come across. If that wasn't enough, the portrait has also been signed in black ink – “Happy New Year, To Daddy 12/31/31” – (unfortunately I don’t have a CAO for this). Also note that there are two date stamps on verso – one Dec 1933 and the other Dec 1934.

CONDITION:  Very good, doubleweight matte portrait, although the borders have been slightly trimmed. There is yellowing throughout and some corner wear, although it has the most velvety smooth surface and crystal clear image. Absolutely delightful and VERY rare find.
