BLANCHE CADE AUSTRALIAN WC THE ALTER BOY C 1900

This is an Interesting RARE Original Watercolour Painting, by Early Australian Listed Artist, BLANCHE CADE, (1873-1958). It is signed lower right, and was Painted around 1900. It is Sweet Original Artwork, showing an Alter Boy getting the Incense burner ready for Benediction, in a Church Service. It is Unframed, and on Paper laid on Card.

CADE, Blanche; (b 1873, d 1958). Artist Printmaker, and Painter in Watercolour. Member of the Victorian Artist Society, and the Early Member of the Society of Women Painters and Sculptors. She lived and painted from her home at 64 Avoca Street, South Yarra. Her artwork was Exhibited along with fellow Artist May Vale, at the Victorian Artist’s Society in 1921, and 1934. She had also exhibited in Adelaide in 1907. Her Art is represented in the National Gallery of Australia, and in Regional and Private Collections around Australia.

This Painting is in Good Condition, but does have a few minor marks from wear. It measures,  10 1/2 inch by 14 1/2 inch, (26.6cm x 36.8cm). (Image size).
