Mammilllaria elongata cristata

DESCRIPTION

  • This cactus is a crested form of a Mammillaria elongata hybrid. Its crests resemble the folds of brain tissue, hence the name.
  • Has yellow flowers in Spring/Summer. Grows into a spreading clump, some reaching 20+ cm across.
  • Specimens on offer are similar to plant pictured opposite. It is over 2 years old and is approximately 6 cm across.

CULTURE NOTES

  • Prefers sun/part shade a well drained soil
  • Avoid exposure to excess moisture in winter. Keep protected in a dry area.
  • Propagated from cuttings, offsets.
