The new 2GB ultra-compact xD-picture card from Olympus has fast transfer rates and a large 2GB memory capacity. This card is suitable for panoramic function and has been developed to meet the modern digital requirements of photographers today.

Developed in 2005 type M uses MLC (multi level cell) architecture to gain larger capacities of memory. Due to type M using relevantly recent technology, there are some compatibility issues with older cameras especially when video recording. The type M card actually has slightly slower read an write speeds in comparison to the standard card with just a 2.5MB/s write speed and 4.0MB/s read speed.

Panararama function

This is a special function that allows you to stitch together a number of pictures to create a panoramic effect. The Olympus xD picture card makes it particularly easy to create this effect if its used with a compatible Olympus digital camera.

Power Consumption

The Olympus xD card consumes a very little amount of your devices battery power which means you will benefit from a longer battery life from a single charge.

NOTE : The following cameras are NOT compatible with type M cards; C-160, C-60Z, Mju 410, Stylus 410 Digital, and not fully compatible with C-770UZ. We advise you should check the compatibility of your camera model on our digital camera memory selector.
