About the Author

SANZAR Saga is Bob Howitt's 17th book on New Zealand's national game, extending from the first volume of Rugby Greats, published in 1975, to 1905 Originals (co-authored with Dianne Haworth) launched earlier in 2005. Bob was the editor of Rugby News from 1970 to 1996 and edited the New Zealand Rugby Annual from 1971 to 1993. His three most recent books, Rugby Nomads, All Black Magic and 1905 Originals, were published by HarperCollins.
