Connectivity is a major focus for the UM525, with options to integrate WHAM and WHAM x 4 wireless microphones, creating an intercom system so you can stay in contact with other members of your crew, or even control the radio from afar.  With the addition of a GPS-receiver, one can receive precise latitude/longitude coordinates, speed/course information and date/time.  It can even recommend the best channel mode based on current position (Canada, USA or International).
