THE ENGLISH BIBLE by Sir Herbert Grierson. (No dust jacket) First publ. 1943, This book 3rd Impression 1947. With 8 plates in colour and 21 illustrations in black & white.  Excellent condition, only slightest wear to lower edge of cover.

THE ENGLISH POETS by Lord David Cecil. Second Edition, MCMXXXXII. With 8 plates in colour and 13 B&W illustrations. Very good to excellent condition, hint of age-colour front flyleaf, and foxing visible on outer page edges when book closed, and parts of dust jacket (back, front on right side edge). Slightest wear to DJ at top spine.

ENGLISH NOVELISTS by Elizabeth Bowen. First Edition. With 8 colour plates and 19 illustrations in B&W. Near-excellent condition - tiny (1mm by 2mm) piece missing top jacket front, some very faint foxing back jacket & top of flaps.

BRITISH HISTORIANS by EL Woodward MCMXXXXIII 1st Ed. With 8 colour plates & 21 b+w illustrations. Excellent condition.

Books are beautiful, high quality items, with exquisite illustrations.
