What is High Definition TV?

The High Definition Advantage
The first thing you need to know about High Definition TV is that is has a 16:9 aspect ratio, capable of delivering the same high quality you see in a movie theatre, making High definition the best picture available on a television screen. The other big selling point is the resolution. HD comes in three different resolutions: 720p, 1080i and 1080p for picture perfect clarity.

What does High Definition Deliver?
To understand what the advantages of High Definition is you need to know a little about how TV works. The images that appear are on your screen are made up of horizontal lines that are constantly being refreshed or scanned. There are normally two types of scanning. These are interlaced(i) and progressive(p).

The higher the line count and scanning rate, the better the image will be.

Does it matter if the resolution is interlaced or progressive?
The type of scan is arguable considering the amount of lines for each HD format. Progressive scan is a better type of scan because it doubles the amount of times the TV displays the image per one second in comparison to interlaced. As mentioned, HDTV comes in 720p, 1080i and 1080p resolutions, however, the difference between 720p and 1080i is so minimal that most people could not detect it. While technically 1080p is better than 720p and 1080i, very few programs are made in this resolution so it really isn’t a critical factor at this moment in time.

Order processing

Reduced shipping for multiple items
We can combine shipping for multiple items as long as you do not complete checkout prior to adding additional items. For orders with multiple items, you will be charged the appropriate additional item fee after the first item which will be charged at the single item rate. Insurance
All items are insured. If your item is damaged in shipment, we will work with you to remedy the situation.

Order tracking

Shipping Rates
Please note that shipping charges for oversized items (such as Plasma or LCD TVs) will be excluded from consolidation. An oversized item will consolidate into your order for the purposes of payment but its published shipping charge will be added to the combined shipping charge for the remaining items.

Checkout

Payment Terms and Sales Tax

Return Procedure
Your satisfaction is important to us. If for any reason, you are not happy with your item, it may be returned within 14 days. The item must be received in the same condition as it was sold and include all accessories, if applicable. A return authorisation must be granted and customer is responsible for all shipping and duties and taxes, if applicable.

Return Guidelines

• All returns require a valid Return Merchandise Authorization number (RMA#). Please contact us to request a number.
• The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs, duties and taxes.
• Restocking fee of 15% of the purchase price may be applicable.
• Refund will be issued on the product price (and applicable sales tax) only. Original shipping is not refundable.
• Items must be received in the same condition as they were sold and must include all inserts, accessories, if applicable, and include a RMA# clearly written on the box.
