THIS IS AN EXTREMELY RARE ITEM. IT WAS MADE BY JAMES JOHN WHYTE OF GLEN INNES NSW WHO WAS THE OWNER OF A BOOT FACTORY DISTRIBUTING TO MEN OF THE WAR. HE OPENED HIS SHOP IN 1898. WHYTE HIMSELF PASSED AWAY IN 1930 HOWEVER HIS FACTORY REMAINED OPENED TILL IT WAS SOLD IN 1967. I HAVE HAD OFFERS FOR THIS ITEM SO MANY TIMES BUT DECLINED, I AM NOW GIVING YOU THE CHANCE TO BID FOR IT!   IT HAS A LOT OF HISTORY BEHIND IT AND IT IS A MUCH WANTED ITEM BY MANY. SO GOOD LUCK ALL AND HAPPY BIDDING!
