Backgammon Set~ a great game! ~ This auction is for a Backgammon Set. It is brown and white in colour and has all of the necessary pieces needed for the game. It includes 2 cups and 4 dice (ie a cup and pair of dice per player), 15 brown checkers, 15 white checkers, and carry case/board to contain all items. The game is in excellent condition.The corners of the outside case are only slightly worn where it has been sitting in our cupboard - hardly noticable.
With a baby on the way, we are not going to have enough time to sit down and play the numerous boardgames that we have! Please look through the other listings as there may be another game that you might like. We will happily combine postage for you should you purchase other items. Rules: Backgammon is a game for two players, played on a board consisting of twenty-four narrow triangles called points. The triangles alternate in color and are grouped into four quadrants of six triangles each. The quadrants are referred to as a player's home board and outer board, and the opponent's home board and outer board. The home and outer boards are separated from each other by a ridge down the center of the board called the bar. Both players have their own pair of dice and a dice cup used for shaking. The object of the game is move all your checkers into your own home board and then bear them off. The first player to bear off all of their checkers wins the game. This item will be posted as soon as payment clears. Due to having metal clips to secure the case/board in the closed position, we will tape these closed to ensure that if the package is dropped in transit, the board does not open and pieces lost.
