Dicky was my first ever parrot. He came to me by accident when a local vet nurse called me and asked would I take in a galah with a broken wing or he was to be put down. Of course I picked him up and we have been the best of mates ever since. So began my love of parrots and I have since added to the family. My biggest challenge was finding interesting and good quality toys to replicate natural bird behaviour and provide the very necessary stimulation needed to promote the best emotional and physical health for my parrots. Dicky Bird Toys naturally evolved from my own desire to make them myself after being disappointed by the poor quality and variety of mass-produced toys available.
