Offering here a Bang & Olufsen classic from 1972 ....the Beogram 4000 linear tracking turntable .
This highly regarded turntable was electronicly & stylisticly advanced for its time . It still looks stunning , & this particular turntable is functioning just as is should .
The 'soft touch' microprocessor controls for Off/On , speeds [ 33 & 45 ] , lift & tracking are all working correctly . The 20EN moving magnet cartridge plays fine & should not need to be relaced for at least a hundred hours . All the lights including the stroboscope are functioning except the first globe in the tracking index bar [ the '0-10' strip above the controls .]
Cosmeticly , the lid has typical age scratches & a tiny bit of veneer has chipped off the bottom left hand corner [ indicated by red arrow in the photo below ] .
This is quite heavy [ over 12 kilos ] & yet delicate [ turntable floats easily ] ....so to aviod the risk of postage damage this turntable is for PICK UP ONLY .
