Being For The Benefit of Mr. Kite:

John Lennon wrote the song, taking inspiration from a nineteenth century circus poster for Pablo Fanque's circus which he purchased in an antique shop on 31 January 1967 while filming the promotional video for the song "Strawberry Fields Forever" in Sevenoaks, Kent. Mr. Kite is believed to be William Kite, who worked for Pablo Fanque from 1843 to 1845.

A modern facsimile of the famous Mr Kite poster. This is not a copy of the original, which in fact is difficult to read in places, but a legible interpretation using the original wording.

Considerable time was spent in creating the image using many different fonts and stretched graphics to get the resulting interpretation.
It is quite fascinating how much of this wording John Lennon used for the song Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite.

The laser print is A4 size (297mm x 211mm), on stiff back board and is suitable for mounting.

The A4 paper is sepia in colour to be more in keeping with the original. The poster can be supplied on white paper if required (please e-mail).
