** Beautiful Antique Silver Sugar Tongs**

This lovely antique piece has classical shell designs on the handles, very elegant and decorative..

in extremely good antique condition, no pitting to the silver ..they could do with a slight clean however I didn't want to do this in case the buyer wanted to keep the old patina, or wishes to do it themselves..

has proper hallmarks,  they are rather difficult to make out as they are so small but they certainly look like the hallmarks for Glasgow 1819....the date letter is a capital 'A" in a shield shape..the makers mark/initials are 'DMcD' ..

*I have just found online reference to a Glasgow Maker 'David McDonald' @ that time frame so I suggest this is correct dating & maker however PLEASE NOTE I am NOT an expert on Antique silver, I am simply using a hallmarks book to try to identify the date & origin of this piece..
