This item was made in Australia between 1939-1945 and this item may have been used by one of our soldiers during WW11.
The tin maker was Bell's.

The  Tin has a hinged lid and an impressed striking plate stamped into the base. Printed on the lid in green and blue is "BELL'S / WATERPROOF / WAX VESTAS".

The tin was originally wrapped in greaseproof paper which has been torn to access the lid.
