Bewitch A-8000 Super High Quality Valve Tube CD Player
Probably one of the best CD players within AUD$3,000.00 price range.
It sells more than AUD$3,000.00 in European Countries.
Valve tube CD player reproduces much real human vocal voices. Sound is soft, rich and is as true as LP.
Unbeatable sound quality. Unbelievable price. Beat a lot of other big brands.
Highly recommended by end-users.

Update feedback from Geoff, Qld.
The Betwitch has continued to improve. The more you play it the better it sounds. It is absolutely spectacular on analogue music that has been remastered to CD. The original vinyl would not sound better unless I had a few thousand dollars invested in the cartridge and turntable. As I said before it just seems to pick up every single sound that's on a CD. When I first played it, it was noisy with so much information. But now it is truly settling in and even cheap CDs are sounding fantastic. This might just be the player that convinces me I don't need to play vinyl anymore.
It's exceptional value for money.

Geoff

The CD player arrived today. Thank you so much for an excellent buy. It is very similar to my old Rotel player but different as well. Soft passages in music are quieter and loud passages are very dynamic. But it still has something else as well, they I can only call a sense of beauty. Not only are the voices clear, as they were with the Rotel player, but the emotion the singer has comes out as well.
So day 1. I'm pleased to have it and my younger daughters who all have better ears than me could tell the difference between the Rotel and the Betwitch straightaway. They knew as soon as they came home from school that I'd done something to the stereo system.

This technology is remarkable and just a little bit scary at the same time. I have a cheap CD I bought for $10 -- the Love Songs of Burt Bacharach. It features some remarkable female vocalists. Dionne Warwick, Arethra Franklin, Dusty Springfield, Sandi Shaw and Cilla Black.
All of these women have great voices and the emotion that is coming out in their voices is remarkable through this cd player.
It's the very first time I've stopped listening to the music and realised there was another human being on the other end of what I was listening to. The voice was living not recorded. That's the scary bit. Hadn't expected it at all.
And this is only day two of burning it in. It's weird and wonderful.

Thanks for the Bewitch A8000 CD player. It fits in well, aesthetically & functionally, with my Bewitch KT88 valve amplifier, as it should, since they were designed to complement each other. The sound produced by the A8000 is pleasant to the ear, although I noticed that transients blare on some CDs. Voices are mostly clear & realistic & bass reproduction is tight & accurate. This is an easy CD player to listen to, with a generally mellow sound, probably characteristic of the two 6N3 double triode tubes (valves) in the output stage. I think that it is excellent value for money.
PS: I'm impressed by the blue light emitted by the valve tube compartment & the front 'window' - a very classy look.

The Bewitch KT88 & A8000 are blending together very nicely & are performing better the more they're used, with a surprisingly deep & tight bass & smooth, clear vocals. In fact, they are better to the ear than my Rega Apollo CD/NAD 1000S pre-amp/Albarry monoblock power amps combination, which are 3 times the price of the Bewitches. I'll write you a report, if you like.

Just an update on my Bewitch KT88 valve amplifier & Bewitch A8000 CD player pairing. I must say that I am delighted with how the sound they produce is improving week-by-week. The KT88 has had 65-70 hours of use & the A8000 around 30 hours. The old adage that the valves in amps & other hi fi equipment take time to 'burn in' is absolutely true, in my experience.
The improvements I've noticed include a smoothening of the sound, especially voices, & an improvement in the bass response, which is now deeper, tighter & well controlled, not what might be expected of a valve amp. I find myself listening to the Bewitch combo in preference to my Rega Apollo CD/NAD 1000S preamp/Albarry mono-block power amps system, which cost more than twice as much.

I have tried it and can feel the noticeable difference with my previous Sony DVD player. The music feel like comes out from the speaker, especially the human voice and violin.
I like it very much.
Thank you
