This bike is less than a year old and has only done 1100km.  All up, I spent $3100 fully kitting the bike out with storage, computer, lights and the best and lightest battery and electrical system that I could find.

The Electra is a quality bike that retails for $1000 in australia.  It is the most comfortable ride I have ever tried.  See http://www.electrabike.com/  The bike is fully set up with 2 x pannier bags, cycle computer, bike lock (1 key only) lights and extra storage room in the battery bag.  The battery bag has a rain cover and is fixed to a slide and can be easily removed and carried by the handle, there is also a cutoff switch in the bag to save any battery drain if the bike is not being used.  The electric engine is 200W so that it can legally to use as a bicycle on roads and bike paths.  Unlike most electric bikes that use led acid batteries and hub motors, this bike is light as it has a small and light lithium battery that is fast to charge and I have no problems riding 15 hilly km to work full power all the way.  The electric motor has been set up on the chain so that there is even power in every gear and this really helps in situations like steep hills or to have accelleration in top gear on the flat or down hill.  The rear cluster has an extra large sprocket for gear 7 and this helps the bike maintain a good speed on the flat of around 38kph.

There are a couple of small scratches on the frame,  but otherwise the bike is in great working order and ready to go.  The tyres are really good and I had them double lined so that the bike could carry plenty of weight in the panier bags with less risk of punture.

It is a pleasure to ride and has been the perfect commuter bike.
