  The Nikon F is arguably the most significant SLR in 35mm history, also was Nikon's first production SLR. With a million examples produced from 1959 through 1972, it was the father of a long line of successful Nikon professional SLRs. Heavy and solid, this slab-sided warhorse with its blocky Photomic prism remains a capable camera and a real head-turner in a crowd of modern plastic autofocus SLRs. The F was updated with a plastic tipped  F2 type advance lever and self timer, and stronger camera strap eyelets. The FTN Finder is the last metering finder that officially offered to the Nikon F users before the Nikon F2 started to market and it sold along with the Nikon F2 until 1974, it remained as one of the most popular prism for the Nikon F.

   The condition of the body is excellent- (Condition 7.5+) showing signs of usage. The top plate marked series number 7353617  the black paint on the body has some brassing on the edges, most on the film door and finder, and some black paints off on the base plate, please see the pictures for details. The shutter works in all speeds even the slow speeds and as the self timer. Light meter is tested and works, can not guarantee accurate anyway. Made in Japan. Thank you for looking!
