An annual or perennial plant that is adaptable to soils and climate. Native to Australia, Blue Pincushion will grow in an alpine to desert climate on almost any soil.
Growing to a height of 0.3 metres with a spread of 0.2 metres the flower stem is erect and the leaves greyish-green, spoon shaped and arranged as a basal rosette. The flowers are cornflower blue occurring in pincushion-like heads through summer.
This plant will live a maximum of 3 years.

This seed requires smoke treatment to germinate which can be found by searching for 'smoke treatment' in my store. Smoke treatment is the simple process of sprinkling treated vermiculite over the sown seeds.
