This is an immaculate blue Yamaha FZ1 2005 model first registered on 19th December 2004 - the 2005 model entered Australia in the last weeks of December 2005 and that is what I ordered and received. Although the registration papers say 2004 it is definitely a 2005 model. I have been its only owner all its life and the bike has been meticulously looked after and is pretty much in excellent condition. There are some standard road-stone scratches and marks but the bike has never been crashed, smashed or dropped etc. It is in absolutely stunning condition for its age. It has had all the required servicing and was washed after almost every bike ride. You will not find a FZ1 this good anywhere!! The bike has had extensive modifications in order to increase its power and racing performance. As a result this is definitely a very, very quick bike and has tremendous power immediately available to it. It has significant power compared with a standard FZ1 and the Ohlins suspension system has the ultimate racing mode to match. This bike is definitely a lot of fun!! So, you can ride it calmly on tour or pull the throttle and you are straight into incredible speed. The better rider you are the more fun it becomes :-) So, improvements made to the bike include: Performance - Yamaha FZ1 Blue Lower Fairing Kit (see photos) - Yamaha FZ1 Blue Rear Fender/Chain Guard - Ohlins 46PRCS FZ1/R1 Road Racing Shock Absorber - Ohlins Titanium Shock Spring - Ohlins Road Racing Front Fork Spring Kit (08692-95) - Ohlins Steering Damper Kit - Ivan's Performance FZ1 Carb Jet Kit (FZ-0102MB) - Ivans Air Induction Modifications, including box drilled - Holeshot Air Induction Removal Kit - Muzzy FZ1 Full System Exhaust Kit - Muzzy FZ1 Oval Titanium Canister - Mussy Exhaust Clamp Kit - K&N Filter - 530GXW Chain 120L - Racing High-Gear Rear Sprocket - FZ1 Braided Front Brake/Clutch Lines - FZ1 Braided Rear Brake Lines Presentation - Blue Illumiglo Guages (see photos) - Speedo Healer (to adjust for new rear sprocket and chain) - Yamaha Tall Windshield Touring - Ventura Touring Rack (installed on the bike) - Venturing Touring Bag (will provide with sale of bike) - Ventura Short and Tall Bike Racks (will be provided with sale of the bike) Other - Yamaha FZ1 Blue Bike Cover - CBE Trickle Charger (fully installed in the bike) In addition to all the items list above, including all the touring items listed, the bike will be supplied with the following that were taken off the bike when it was originally purchased but then upgraded: - Yamaha Standard Windshield - Yamaha Standard Rear Shock Absorber - Yamaha Standard Front Fork Sprints - Standard Rear Sprocket and Chain As noted, the bike has a battery trickle charger installed so you can keep the battery on the bike charged by just plugging the bike into the mains. However, the bike will also be supplied with a second spare battery and an external battery/mains charger so that you can charge the batteries by simply plugging them into the mains. As you can see, there are a lot of accessories that come with the bike!!! Therefore, when you pick up the bike you should also bring someone with a car so that they can take all these additional items away with them :-) The only thing that you need to be aware is that the bike has been sitting in its underground, covered parking spot for the past 9 months and not used. There is absolutely nothing wrong it is just that I no longer have the time to ride the bike (hence the sale). The battery is continuously charged and the bike is started every now and ridden in the carpark just to make sure that the engine gets turned over. However, bikes don't like to sit around therefore when you purchase the bike it will definitely need to have a full service done to it (for example, spark plug efficiency tends to deteriorate if not used all the time). This will make sure that the spark plugs are OK (they definitely need cleaning or maybe replaced because the start could be cleaner), the bike is completely oiled, tuned etc, etc. It will be vital to have this service done just to make sure everything is smooth, tuned, sparky and refreshed from sitting around for 9 months. This will ensure you will get the most fun and performance you can and that the bike continues to have a long life :-) Pickup is available from the Sydney CBD, the middle of the city. The bike cannot be picked up until the payment funds have cleared. Test rides are definitely not allowed! You can only see the bike if you are a serious purchaser. I once tried to sell a bike and the prospective purchaser later tried to steal it so this bike is now under 24-hour video surveillance, just to be sure :-) |
