Primex Combination Valve/Silencer:
Constructed of fibreglass and fire retardant/heat resistant resin, which is not susceptible to corrosion or electrolysis, and provides excellent noise dampening properties, whilst not exceeding engine manufacturers’ maximum back pressure levels. For optimum service life, continuous operating temperatures should be less than 93°C. Suitable for wet exhaust systems only. A waterlock or at least a flapper valve should be fitted in line, if water intrusion via the exhaust outlet is a possibility. All installations should conform to safe recommended practices for small craft. Meets USCG/Navy heat resistance and fire retardancy MIL-R-21607 and MIL-R-7575.
