Item specifics

Up for sale is a funky Granos Espresso machine from Bodum.

Please note that the bottle adapter and bottle cover are missing and therefore not included. In my opinion it does not affect the machine's performance or look  as instead of using water straight from the bottle, you can simply pour it into the water reserve.

Bodum is a company long synonymous with coffee. From their ever popular lineup of press pots (French presses, or "bodums"), to the long running line of vacuum brewers, to a wide range of cups, saucers and service items, the company defines "coffee" for many people.

Bodum rolled out their Bodum Granos Automatic espresso machine, first showing it off at trade shows, then providing a limited roll-out through retail vendors.

The machine is a literal work of art - all shiny metal, curves, domes, wide surfaces yet a slender look. It's also an automatic in a field where automatics are few and far between (the consumer, single boiler, vibe pump espresso machine market - there are fewer than a half dozen machines fitting this category for "automatics").

Bodum is well known throughout the world for their spectacular designs and innovative function having won numerous design awards. So it comes as no surprise that their first foray into the world of electric pump driven espresso machines would be a knock out design and a top notch performer. Winner of the “Good Design 2003” Award from the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design, the Granos is a work of art for your kitchen. But this work of art can really perform. The Bodum Granos is an automatic espresso machine, just program the buttons and to your liking and the pump starts at the touch of a button and stops once your preferred amount of espresso is brewed. No more turning the pump on and off manually, just simple one touch operation. The Granos is also flexible, working with both ground coffee and pre-packed espresso pods (easy serving espresso or e.s.e. pods). The pods are industry standard offering not just ease of use, but a large selection of coffees to choose from including Bodum’s own pods. The innovative cup warmer has a dome lid to keep heat in, improving performance. Use the water tank  included for use with your favourite bottled water.  The heavy weight portafilter helps maintain thermal stability for excellent extraction and the soft grip portafilter handle is comfortable to work with.

Also included is a Starbucks Burr Grinder, which can grind coffee beans to the desired consistency for use with the Granos and any other coffee making appliance.

Local buyers:Pick up only as it is quite delicate. Otherwise if you are from interstate I am happy to arrange a courier but it will be at buyers expense.

Grab yourself a funky kitchen accessory today! Hardly ever used, works extremely well. Retails over $1000.

Questions and answers about this item
Q: Hi - just wondering where pickup would be in Sydney & how quickly would it need to be collected? I don't live in Sydney & may not be able to pick immediately. Thanks
A: Hi, I live in Quakers Hill. There's no hurry re the pick up. I can arrange a courier if that would be easier, but that would incur an extra charge. Cheers, Marianna
