Eyepiece Bolt Case for virtually any make eyepiece. These are similar to the cases Meade currently supply with their eyepieces but are better. The current Meade supplied outer case has only 2 small part threads. This means that they often miss the inner threads and the whole case becomes "loose". My cases are threaded all round and make for a much more secure fit. Even if the eyepiece is longer than the nominal completely screwed down length, they provide a secure closure. (See picture below of Meade 140 Barlow). The bolt design base means that they won't roll if put down on their sides. The listing is a general description of these cases. Simply remove the eyepiece thumbscrew and stow it in a user supplied foam offcut. Gently ease the foam into the barrel of the lens and store it in the Bolt Case.See picture. NOTE FOR CASE G. This case will take the Meade Electronic Eyepiece #7165, Meade Srs 5000 Telextenders, the Meade Srs 4000 8-24 Zoom eyepiece, and Srs 4000 variable polarising system. NOTE FOR CASE J. This case will take the filter slide for the Meade DSI PRO. The filters can be left in the slide, the slide can be kept in this case, dust free and ready to go. SIMPLY MEASURE YOUR EYEPIECE TO SEE WHICH CASE YOU NEED. The size Meade supply with their Series 4000 eyepieces is shown in the table above for guidance, as most astronomers will be familiar with these.
