Fifty-two year old Patagonian garage mechanic Juan has just lost his job. He is a gentle soul who tries to make ends meet by selling hard-carved knives which nobody wants to buy. One day he repairs a woman's car with no concern for how long it may take: "Time is the one thing I'm not short of", he shrugs. In return, he is given an unusual gift - a beautiful top-breed Dogo Argentino, a gorgeous, majestic white hound of noble pedigree called Bombon. Gradually, Bombon begins to change his new masters life and its the start of a beautiful friendship.

Bombon comes to stand for pretty much everything for his new owner: hope, self-respect and love. Yet we never get the impression that Juan is the dogs master or that the dog is leading Juan off his path, they're just instant friends and its a friendship that transcends words. Bombon is a charming, shaggy tale of one man, a dog and his dreams.
