With nearly everything else in the world going digital and electronic, it was only a matter of time before the games hopped on board.  Trivial Pursuit: Digital Choice Edition is a great example of a favorite classic board game gone electronic.  Everything that people love about Trivial Pursuit is included in this game, except it can be programmed to be totally personalized.  Out of all the different versions of Trivial Pursuit, players can pick the topics and questions from a list and program those questions into the digital unit.

Trivial Pursuit Digital Edition still has a game board, it still has scoring tokens with scoring wedges, and the object is still the same as always, but there are no question and answer cards to keep track of.  Instead, there is a digital device that comes preprogrammed with 600 questions from the classic topic areas of the original game.  Plus you can go to the special website set up just for the game.  With the USB cable that is included with the set, you can hook the digital question and answer unit up to your computer and download up to 1800 questions from over 100 categories of questions on the website.  There is no charge for the downloads, and you can go back and download new questions any time you want to.

The choices are huge with six classic categories - Entertainment, History, People & Places, Science & Nature, Sports & Leisure and Wild - each having a further five sub categories to choose from and within these, a further six sets of 50 card questions in specialty areas. This makes it possible to not only design a game to feature your favourite categories, but also to tailor a game to suit the players. For example, kids might choose categories such as Movie Teen Favs, Kids Television, Fads & Fashions from 2000 onwards, Prehistoric , Living on the Edge and Extreme Sports; while a more mature group of players may choose Music in the Movies, Comedy legends, Fads & Fashions 1960s, The Olympics , Guilty Pleasures and Way Back When.
