Braided Brake hoses are a must in any high performance street car or race car. You can not put a price on safety and brakes are the most fundamental part of slowing your car down. Maltech brake hoses are designed as a bolt on with no modifications required. Advantages -
- Braided Hoses add pressure to your brake pedal making it more responsive. - Longer lasting than standard rubber hoses. - Maltech Braided Brake hoses are ADR Approved. (Street legal throughout Australia). - Each and every hose is pressure tested to 3500 psi and is then stamped to indicate Maltech as the manufacturer. - Hoses can be made with Pure Braided hose or Plastic Coated Braided Hose Clear, Smoked, Blue or Red. - On each end of the hose an insert is required and these are available in Grey, Black, Blue, Silver and Red. Facts about Rubber Brake Hoses : The average good working life of a brake hose is six years. Brake hoses deteriorate from the inside as well as the outside. Moisture is absorbed into brake fluid systems through rubber brake hoses. Contaminants in brake fluid act abrasively on the inner wall of brake hoses. The brake hose reinforcing fabric deteriorates through expansion and moisture. High operating temperatures contribute to the deterioration of rubber brake hoses. The brake hose inner diameter swells with age therefore restricting flow. Generally all rubber brake hoses on a vehicle deteriorate at the same rate. So all hoses should be replaced if one is found to be faulty! The properties of Stainless Braided Teflon Hose are untouchable! Teflon tube combined with a stainless braid cover can perform continuously under high pressure, continual flexing and constant vibrating conditions. The hose has a minimum burst pressure of 12,000psi. It can also typically withstand temperatures from -73°C to +260°C under most operating conditions. Almost no substance can adhere to Teflon. This property insures the purity of brake fluid when transferred in a Teflon hose. With a coefficient of friction as low as 0.05, deposits cannot build up and flow rates are high throughout the hose life By its nature, Teflon lacks affinity to moisture. Therefore absorption of moisture is less than 0.01%. Teflon does not transfer an odour or colour to the passing brake fluid. Teflon hose is ageless!. Weather, exposure, time…. None of these affect the properties of Teflon. Teflon hose has a limit less shelf life, it does not age.
With Maltech Ultimate Brake Hoses you can Customize the hoses to suit your vehicle. You choose the colour Insert that best suits your vehicle. Grey, so that they are barely noticeable, Black to match the body colour, Blue so that they just stand out, or Red to be colour coded to the Brembo callipers, it is your choice. Just specify colour insert required. **Please note all hoses need to be manufactured and a turn around time of 2-3 days is required.
