You are looking at a lovely hand made (with sewing machine!) pure new wool Nappy Cover in BLUE with WHITE elastic.

This item is made by me from brand new wool blanket offcuts from the Waverly Woolen Mills on the NW Coast of Tasmania. The materials are brand new, just the left overs that are too small to make a full sized blanket from. They are woven in Tasmania from 100% Tasmanian Merino wool. The blanketing makes a beautiful, soft and durable nappy cover, and is supporting Australian Industry!

I started making these covers when the two (expensive ones!) we bought weren't enough, but the expense of buying them new made us hesitate! So I made up my own design, based on the ones we had and some other nappy covers we were using. I had used Waverly blanket offcuts in other projects previously and I love the quality and softness (and being a Tassie girl originally, I love to support the home grown industry). So I ordered in some offcuts, made up the covers, and here we are! I over estimated how much blanketing I would need, so here are my surplus covers for sale.

Features include:

Fold over elastic all around the cover for a snug fit and a cute trim!

Hook and Loop closure for maximum adjustability. (extra tabs so Hook and Loop can be folded over in the wash - less damage on other washing!)

100% Australian made wool blanketing - support our farmers.

Top can be folded down to fit newborns, right through to toddlers. (my 18 month old still wears this pattern)

These covers come un-washed, and un-lanolised - I will provide instructions on how to lanolise them as part of the item. Lanolising makes the cover nearly waterproof and they can be worn a numer of times between washes. I usually wash these covers in the washing machine either with the nappies or a towel was and they seem to stand up to it just fine.

Please note that these items are hand made by me - a working Mum with a busy toddler - if you are looking for mass produced consistency please don't buy this item. Each nappy cover has small variations from the hand cutting and machine sewing process. I do guarantee quality though - my daughter has been using similar ncovers every day for six months now and they are still going strong!
