This painting is an
original acrylic on thick mulberry paper from Luang Prabang,
Laos. It depicts the Bodhi tree in gold against a black background.
It was under the Bodhi tree that the Buddha, Siddhartha Gautama, sat meditating
when he became enlightened or fully awakened. This painting imitates the
style of art featured on the inside of temple walls in the beautiful town of
Luang Prabang, home to the breathtaking 16th Century temple, Wat Xieng Thong as
featured in the photos. The 4th photo shows an example of a painting in this
style framed. The painting measures 80cm
(31.5 inches) x 54cm (21 inches). The actual image measures 61cm (24
in) x 43cm (17 in). It will be sent rolled in a cardboard cylinder. See below
