Buffet 4121 Oboe

The name Buffet Crampon has a worldwide reputation for tradition and quality in the manufacture of woodwind instruments.  Due to the fact that fewer instruments are made, mass production methods have not been introduced to oboe production - meaning all instruments are hand-made, and are therefore generally more expensive than other woodwind instruments. This beautiful buffet oboe is crafted in fine grenadilla wood. Ideal for those just starting or for the more advanced, this oboe will help produce the lovely dark velvety sound that is usually associated with more expensive instruments.

The instrument  has been overhauled to the highest level by a professional woodwind repairer and, in playing terms, is as good as, or better than, new. Cosmetically it is good, with no damage and little sign of wear. The case is sound, although the lining is a little scruffy.  A great instrument for the aspiring student!

There will be a short delay (about a week) in delivering this fine instrument, as, to give the customer best value for money, I will not complete the fine detail of the overhaul until after the purchase. The instrument comes with a three month warranty and I would expect the service to be sufficient for two to three years use before it requires a further service.
