This is a new release collectors model in 1:43 scale by Rio of Italy, brand new in original packaging, Rio item number 4215. This model has been in the making for many years now and is finally available. A beautiful model and well worth the wait for Bugatti fans.

The Type 41 Royale was Ettore Bugatti's most extravagant exercise, a huge vehicle planned to be the most expensive and exclusive available. Only six chassis were constructed, and the subject of this model, chassis number 41100, was fitted with a number of body styles during its lifetime including theis Weymann coach style.

The Royale was huge, with a wheelbase of 4.3 metres and 24 inch wheels. The engine was 12.7 litres, straight eight, with three valves per cylinder and a single overhead camshaft.

This Rio model features accurate cast wheels with correct profile tyres. The body is very nicely proportioned and depicts the original car very accurately. Other features include steering wheel, gearshift, spare tyre, air horns, plated bumpers and headlights and a removable bonnet to reveal a detailed engine bay and engine. The underside is nicely detailed with transmission and engine details, chassis details and exhaust system.

Rio models come mounted on a black plastic plinth in a clear plastic display box with outer cardboard window box. This item is brand new in original unmarked packaging.

Rio Models
Rio is a long established Italian maker of detailed scale models in 1:43 scale. All items are well researched and produced with meticulous attention to detail and a high level of finish. The original Rio company and tooling was sold a few years back to M4, the makers of Art Model and Best Model. They are in the process of revamping the range and re-issuing selected items with improved tooling and the addition of photo etchings to improve detail.

These models collectors items and are not toys. They are made in diecast metal with many other materials included for detailing, such as plastics, rubber and fine photo etchings on most items.

For transactions within Australia I will also accept direct bank deposit (either at branch or via internet banking) or Australia Post Money Order.

I do pack all items very well to minimise the risk of damage, however I cannot be responsible for loss or damage while goods are in transit. If this is a concern to you I suggest postal insurance.

Registered Post costs an extra $2.50 and covers your parcel against loss for up to $100.00. Extra cover is available at $1.10 per $100.00 cover.

International -
Postal insurance is available for $8.00 and this covers you against loss up to $100.00. Extra cover is available and costs $2.00 per $100.00 cover.
