Each year the Veteran Horse Welfare Centre munches through....

• 150 sacks of Fibregy (3 tons) 150 sacks
• Pasture Nuts (6 tons) for hay replacers
• 3 tons of 16+ Cubes 75 sacks
• 3  tons of Build Up Cubes 75 sacks
• 1 ton of Barley Conditioner
• 1 tone of Maize
• 1 tone of Country Cubes
• 2 tons of Sugar beet

This is little Jo who recently arrived at the centre, although he is on a strict diet his needs are as great as any thoroughbred, and you are helping him and his 25 friends this winter.

It costs us thousands of pounds to feed our little and large people during winter.  This photograph is Little Joe and he has 26 friends living with him.  Jo has specialist feeding management as do so many of his companions.  Every penny will go towards the horses feeding this winter and every penny is much valued, thank you.

Each winter we get through 2000 bales of hay and haylage and 3 tons of hayreplacer.  (for those with few or no teeth)

We spend approximately £15,000.00 on hard feed and supplements alone each year.... please help by contributing towards a virtual bag of feed online.. Each bag makes a difference.

Veteran Horse Welfare relies on the kindness and generosity of those with a passion and love of horses. People who share our goal of providing a second chance to horses whose lives would otherwise meet unnecessary and unthinkable ends. To date the VHW has successfully re-homed and rescued 100 horses most of which were to end up on the dinner tables of Europe. Every penny will go directly to the horses at our Centre that need urgent help.
