The inks are specifically made to be used in the Canon PGI-520 ( Pigmented ink ) and CLI-521 ( Dye Based ) tanks. These inks like the original Canon cartridges use ink that is refined to 1 Pico Litre droplet size and are more archival than normal dye based inks. Previous Canon cartridges such as BCI-3e, BCI-6, BC-24 and BC-21 used ink refined to 2 Pico Litre drop size. 100% larger than CLI-521. They also do not have the same fade resistance as the new CLI-521 ink.

A: Yes these will work in the MP640. We can swap the 2 x PG-520 Black ( fat black tanks ) for what ever other CLI- 521tanks you want. eg an extra black and extra yellow CLI-521 if this helps

 Q: Hi. Just a little question to clarify. It says, ink levels show full. Does that mean it also shows the levels of the ink as they empty with use ( as the genuine cartridges do ). I have an MP620 printer. Thanks.
A: The chip resetter resets the ink level to full. As the Canon printer prints it then deducts the ink used from a counter and encodes the remaining ink level back to the chip on the inkjet cartridge. eg shows the ink... Continue reading
