CARLTON WARE - Deco Toast Rack - Flowering Papyrus Design

Presented here is a fantistic piece of Carlton Ware Handcraft pottery, being a Toast Rack adorned with the very Deco "Flowering Papyrus" design.

This hand painted decoration has fan like flower shapes at either end urrounded by decorative angular geometric borders. The brilliance of the white base glaze highlights and compliments the yellow, blue and mauve glazes used in the design and trim.

This piece is marked to base with the Carlton Ware script and Handcraft stamp.

ITEM SIZE: 6cm (2 3/8 inch) Tall x 8cm (3 1/8 inch) Wide x 5.5cm (2 1/8 inch) Deep.

DATE: Mark was used from 1929 to 1939.

CONDITION: Excellent with no chips, cracks or repairs. Minimal crazing.
