Watson Roadster History - A.J. Watson built his first Indianapolis race car in 1950. He designed, built and "chiefed" the first Watson Roadster in 1956 and Pat Flaherty drove it to an Indy 500® victory. Over the next 8 years Watson Roadsters would win Indianapolis 5 times with Rodger Ward in 1959, Jim Rathmann in 1960, Ward in 1962, Parnelli Jones in 1963 and A.J. Foyt, Jr., in 1964. |

The Model
A Beautifully crafted in 1:18 scale by Carousel 1, this is the Eddie Sachs "Dean Van Lines Special" Highly detailed, the model features a fully detailed OFFY engine, authentic graphics, realistic cock pit and more. You will marvel at the intricate details of these Vintage and historic Indy 500 replicas. Approx. 9 inches long.
The model the buyer will receive is from an early release batch of the series number 4410 and is sealed and has never been removed from it's two cartons. The outer white protective carton and the inner multi red coloured display carton. The images on this site are of a display car!
This particular model #4410 has been sold out at Carousel 1 for some time now, so this has become a highly collectable model in the series of around over 40 front engined model Indy cars
