1:18 scale models of historic American race cars. Watson Roadsters ruled The Brickyard^®and other high-speed paved ovals of the world from 1956 through 1964.

Watson Roadster History - Since the early Fifties, racers had been looking for a car fast enough and a driver brave and skilled enough to break the 150 mph barrier at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway® with a lap of under one minute flat on the famed two-and-a-half mile track. A.J. Watson built his first Indianapolis race car in 1950. He designed, built and "chiefed" the first Watson Roadster in 1956 and Pat Flaherty drove it to an Indy 500® victory. Over the next 8 years Watson Roadsters would win Indianapolis 5 times with Rodger Ward in 1959, Jim Rathmann in 1960, Ward in 1962, Parnelli Jones pole position 1962 and the win in 1963 and A.J. Foyt, Jr., in 1964.

A Beautifully crafted in 1:18 scale by Carousel 1, this is the A.J.Foyt #1 "Sheraton Thompson Special" Highly detailed, the model features a fully detailed OFFY engine, authentic graphics, realistic cock pit and more. You will marvel at the intricate details of these Vintage and historic Indy 500 replicas. Approx. 9 inches long.

The model the buyer will receive is from an early release batch of the series number 4406 and is sealed and has never been removed from it's two cartons. The outer white protective carton and the inner multi red coloured display carton. The images on this site are of a display car!
