This is a bit of a  lengthy read but we hope you find it worthwhile ....................

This  hen house has have been designed to WORK! - More than 500 sold!

The house contains two nesting boxes with outside access. (latched for locking) It  contains two  solid perches and has removable floors for easier cleaning.

The roof lifts and has stays that "click" into place. (We  recommend caution when opening the roof in extremely windy weather) The roof is a timber composite, with a waterproof asphalt tile finish and coloured a pleasant green. 

There are two access doors with ramps. They are lifted and held in place by padbolts when security is required. (night time)  One at the front for access to a run and the other at the side for use when hens are being allowed to "free range" - We haven't seen this "two door" system on any coop on ebay.

To buy the materials to build this set up would cost you a lot more than our asking price - and yes, it is manufactured in China.  Having some concerns about stories one hears about exploitation of labour, concern for the environment etc. we went to China to check it out.  The factory that manufactures this product (and some of our other timber products) is situated in a very rural part of the country. The people in the villages in that area have survived previously on subsistence farming - they now have jobs - and their living standards are improving all the time.  Also - the raw materials they use are coming from sustainable forest - for every two trees taken, they must plant three as replacements   .........   sorry, I go on a bit.

We would recommend that the house is suitable for up to half a dozen chooks - depending on breed/size of course. Not a bad idea to start off with a couple. Last time we had this coop/run we were inundated with requests on where to buy chooks.  Here's a tip - type - pullets,chickens,chooks, your locality  - into google.                                                                                                                                                    There's nothing quite like home grown organic eggs! - plus the kids (grandchildren in my case!) love collecting eggs and feeding etc.

The house comes flat packed.  Assembly instructions are enclosed - along with ALL necessary hardware (bolts - screws - etc)  It takes about 20 mins. to put together - A screwdriver is all that is  required!
