EPSON has created cartridges with IC Chips in order to prevent people from refilling their cartridges. They make a lot of money this way at your expense.

We are very pleased to offer our customers a cost effective solution for resetting these IC Chips.

We also offer the universal chip resetter available in our eBay stores, this one is good for only certain 9 pin models. It will reset original and most generic cartridges. This unit will not reset the spongeless cartridges with auto-reset chips.

Very important: Please note that while the cartridges have nine contacts on them, this chip resetter actually has seven pins on it to do the resetting job. Alot of people ask ask us this question so please take note of this point.

Also please note that it is a good idea to reset the cartridges before the ink level goes below 25%. There is a sensor on the chip that detects whether it is immersed in liquid (i.e. ink) and if it isn't wet, the printer may lock out the result of the resetter. Even though the resetter will successfully reset the cartridge, the printer won't accept it. Please take note of this when operating your unit.

The resetter in this auction is capable of resetting the EPSON R260 R380 original and most generic printer cartridges time and time again.

THIS AUCTION IS FOR ONE (1) CHIP RESETTER for Nine Pin Cartridges

Simply slide the pins on the Universal Resetter into the slots on the Epson Cartridge and secure it tightly so that it makes contact with the chip.

After a few seconds, the LED indicator will light up and flash for about 5 seconds. This means the resetting operation has been successfully completed, and the chip is in a good state.

This Resetter can reset the chip on the cartridge, which stores the ink-level in its memory, to accept and record every new refilling by putting the cartridge into full mode and thereby enabling the cartridge to function as new.

The Resetter is a multi-function product which can reset the chip on the cartridge into a full mode and also can detect the chip state.

The steps of the reset operation is as following:

Identify: Auto identify the type of ink cartridge.
Detect: Detect the chip on the cartridge is in a good state or not.
Reset: Reset according to the type of cartridge, reset automatically.
