You are bidding on a lovely vintage Christmas greeting postcard. This beautifully embossed card contains an illustration of a rural winter scene. If you supersize image 1 you can better see a man on his way home with a load of fire wood, his trusty dog at his side. The scene is framed with a gold border and is flanked by gorgeous pansies, which adds to this card's exceptional beauty! The colors are still vivid.
If you look closely, the words "Mrs. Young, 1909" is handwritten at the top of the card.
When you supersize image 2, you will see that the back of this card is blank, save for the handwritten receiver's name. I strongly suspect that this card was given by a teach to one of her students as a Christmas greeting 100 years ago!
This very oldantique is ready for framing or will make a great addition to your vintage Christmas greeting card collection. Better bid now, before another collector takes it away!
