Pilot Episode:

1. Prescription: Murder

Psychiatrist Roy Fleming and his wife are celebrating their anniversary when he is called to deal with a patient - Susan Hudson.  On returning he has to soothe his angry wife with the promise of a trip to Acapulco.  However, Fleming has no intention of taking his wife to Acapulco, instead he's hatched a plan to get rid of his wife without anyone becoming suspicious.  When Fleming's wife is found dead, Columbo is brought in to investigate and seeds of doubt are planted in his mind which typically he will not ignore.

2. Dead Weight

A murder case against one of America's leading military heroes is complicated by an unstable witness, no body or a weapon.  Helen Stewart witnesses a murder from her sailboat, but begins to doubt herself when she meets Major General Martin Hollister who turns out to be quite a charming man.  After locating the body, Columbo must find a weapon then face the daunting task of accusing a man who is acclaimed by the media and even has a museum to house his wartime career trophies.

Running Time is Approximately 95 minutes
