This is a HD DVD movie and is not compatible for play in a normal DVD player. A HD DVD PLAYER IS REQUIRED TO VIEW THIS MOVIE. Set in a 19th century European village, this stop-motion, animated feature follows the story of Victor (voiced by JOHNNY DEPP), a young man who is whisked away to the underworld and wed to a mysterious Corpse Bride, while his real bride, Victoria, waits bereft in the land of the living. Though life in the Land of the Dead proves to be a lot more colorful than his strict Victorian upbringing, Victor learns that there is nothing in this world, or the next, that can keep him away from his one true love.

High definition video and audio offer an increase in clarity as less compression is required to store the data on the high capacity next-generation formats. To take advantage of HD video you will require a HD compatible television, and similarly a HD decoder for the lossless audio formats. The good news is that the HD DVD technology is backwards compatible, meaning that your current DVD library won't be made obsolete & will play on your new HD DVD player. A HD-DVD player will be required to view HD-DVDs. HD-DVD players will feature backwards support for DVD but IS NOT compatible with its competitor Blu-ray.
